“Spring Festival 2023: Full Tents, Great Atmosphere, and Fun Rides at Deggendorf”

Full tents, dense crowds at the festival site, long queues in front of some rides: many visitors were drawn to the Spring Festival at the weekend. So many that in the evenings it was almost impossible to find a free seat in the large marquee. Everyone wanted to party, on Saturday with “Saxndi” in the Weißbier tent or the party band “Proellergeisda” in the Widmann marquee.

At a quarter past eight the wheat beer tent was so full that the security wouldn’t let anyone in. Inside, Franz Moosauer, Adrian Kreuzer, Ralle, Thomas Achter and Markus Weigert created the best atmosphere: Moosauer roared “Zickzagzigzacke” into the microphone – “hey hey hey” echoed back loudly. “Saxndi” is simply a guarantee of atmosphere, the predominantly young tent visitors danced exuberantly on the benches and enjoyed the evening.

At the same time, the visitors didn’t need to be asked twice in the Widmann marquee: The “Proellergeisda” Verena Bauer, Michael Reiner, Johannes Altmann, Daniel Reiner, Johannes Dachs and Tobi Brussels from St. Englmar know how to inspire the masses. Here, too, it was not easy for the waitresses to transport the trays of food through the crowd.

Long queues at the “Blackout” and the “Phoenix”

Those who needed to cool down a little threw themselves into the fray at the festival site. Higher, faster, further also applies to the Spring Festival: the longest queues were seen at “Blackout” and “Phoenix”, but the “Hawaii Swing” was also quite popular. Many dared to embark on a special adventure with “Jumanji”: The 3-storey labyrinth awaits with all sorts of traps such as a hall of mirrors, a moving staircase or a tube slide, and the spectators also got their money’s worth.

Swing carousel and shooting gallery are the classics at the spring festival and many a gentleman presented the lady of his heart with a red rose that he had shot himself. But there were also pink alpacas and giant plush bears up for grabs, and they were real eye-catchers on the festival grounds.

Of course there is also something to eat at the spring festival, in addition to the dishes and freshly grilled snacks in the marquee, fish, grilled sausages and steaks sold like hot cakes outside. And there’s also a “brutal steak roll”. What is behind it? “We don’t just have onions, as is normal,” reveals the hard-working steak griller: In addition to the onions, red cabbage and a special barbecue sauce are added to the roll. “A little hard to eat, but super delicious,” said some festivalgoers.

Traditional costume is trendy, and that also applies to the 2023 Spring Festival. Of course, Hannah, Antonia, Jana, Nina, Lilly, Anna, Vanessa and Verena also dressed up for it.
