In the mild spring weather, citizens experienced rice planting and went to weekend farms to tend vegetable gardens, feeling the spring vibes.

Little farmers wearing straw hats and pants rolled up stride into the rice fields.
Pick up a seedling the size of your face with your fern-like hand and plant it.
It was awkward because it was my first time stepping through the muddy paddy field, but a smile bloomed on my face.

In Incheon, a traditional rice planting event was held in which citizens could participate.
It is so popular that hundreds of people participate every year as you can even harvest the rice that you planted by hand one by one in October.
A time to leave the boring school and classroom and learn nature with friends.
The fact that I can harvest the rice that I planted with sweat in the fall is just amazing and proud.

The mother plants the lettuce seedlings, and the children carefully water them and spray them.
In the spring, when the energy of life sprouts in the mountains and fields, urban farmers have been busy at weekend farms.
[박보경 / 서울 목동 : 평소에 아파트에 살아서 아이들이 이런 걸 접하기가 쉽지 않은데, 주말에 와서 이렇게 씨도 심고, 모종도 심고, 자라는 것도 보고 그래서 아이들에게 되게 좋은 것 같아서 일부러 찾아오고 있어요.]
Bird chimney made with lettuce freshly picked from the field is a delicacy that can only be experienced here.
[최복순 / 서울 목동 : 일단은 무공해 식품이라서 좋고 내가 키운 거를 먹으니까 좋고, 건강에도 좋고. 5천 원 값이 아니라 5만 원도 더 가는 값을 느낄 수 있어서 좋고….]
Even though farming is close to experience, the heart of expecting a bountiful harvest was as good as any other farmer.
