“This year we are seeing a return of romantic make-up, glamor and a classicism that has always characterized brides: pink”, says Luciano Bernardi, Product Manager of the Diego dalla Palma group. “Our brand has created a collection for an unconventional bride where pink is present in the softest shades but also in the brightest ones for those who want to ‘dare’ and further highlight the typical freshness of the bride who is usually dressed in white. This shade embellishes the idea of purity even more.” And he concludes: “it is important that for that day the look is different but without distorting the character of the person; therefore anything that recalls one’s daily style is fine but with small suggestions that give the idea of make-up and hair from event.
How it’s done
Per the eyes There are two main points when using the pink shade. A classic neutral pale pink base is created which is embellished with an underlining of the eye using pencils that are generally dark and shaded for a muffled and soft effect. The key to naturalness is to apply the foundation in thin layers until you obtain the desired coverage, first with the help of a brush and then with a sponge. Then set the base with a powder (to always carry with you on the big day for last-minute touch-ups) and proceed with the creation of a light contouring and bronzing with a powder product that delicately defines the contours of the face and to warm the complexion to give a healthy and radiant appearance. Finish the base of the face with a dusting of blush on the cheeks. For a clean, flattering look, blend a brown eyeshadow into the outer corner of the eye and along the upper and lower lash lines to create depth. To illuminate and open up the eyes, dab a light pearly eyeshadow in the center of the eyelid, in the inner corner of the eye and under the brow bone. The final touch: outline the lip contour with a nude pencil, as similar as possible to the natural color of your lips, and apply a nude or pink lipstick with a hydrating, long-lasting formula.
