With the outbreak of winter, the nurseries begin to come to life painting themselves in the spring colors that stand out among the green of the plants, whether they are floral, medicinal or ornamental.
This is what the Tabalaopa nurseries look like, such as the one located on Avenida Fuerza Aérea, where Aurelio works, who is in charge of irrigation, fertilization, pruning and other jobs related to the care of plants and flowers.
“The maintenance of the plant is the watering every day, there are plants that require a lot of water, little or less and sun, shade and half shade plants, each one carries its fertilization and pruning process”, Aurelio explained to El Heraldo.
In the nursery there are seasonal flowers such as petunias, carnations, geraniums, daisies, pansies, rose bushes, cassandra that is from the sun, radishes, chard, spinach, lantanas, epazote to flavor the beans, basil, spearmint, beet, citronella to ward off mosquitoes, coriander, chamomile, rosemary, rue for those who sneeze, lavender, Persian lily, among many others.
“To work in a nursery you have to know the care, everything that is sunny is watered normally, once a day, the plants in half shade every third day and if they are completely in shade, once a week”, Indian.
Also, there are seasonal plants that bloom for a while and then dry out; and plants that bloom all year round.
“Irrigation is every day and they are fertilized every month, just like pruning, once pruning and fertilizing at the same time the plant is recovered”, he indicated.
