BERN (SWITZERLAND): On the night of Saturday, March 27, 2021, several people fled when they saw the police after a report about spraying at Bümpliz Nord train station. A woman fell and had to be taken to hospital in critical condition, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
On Saturday, March 27, 2021, shortly after 2.20 a.m., the Bern canton police received a report that a train composition was being sprayed at the Bümpliz Nord station in Bern. When several patrols approached the site and were spotted by the people present, they immediately fled on foot, whereby a woman fell and was seriously injured.
The woman jumped over a railing in order to get down a wall several meters high, where she fell and remained motionless below the wall. The emergency services present took care of the woman immediately and an ambulance team brought her to the hospital in critical condition. She died from her injuries on Saturday morning. The deceased is a 29-year-old Swiss woman from the canton of Bern. Investigations into the circumstances of the fall have been initiated under the direction of the Regional Public Prosecutor’s Office in Bern-Mittelland
