Spots: black and white Babiš with boxing gloves, Pavel irradiated

“I want a president who is active and not afraid of work,” says a young person in Babiš’s clip. “I want a president who will really care about us, who will really, really take care of us,” demands a burly guy shadowing a box for the camera. As part of his speech, there is also a cut where Babiš is jovially having fun with other men with boxing gloves on his hands and imitating boxing movements to the amusement of those present. Throwing down the gloves was a frequent motif of the campaign, although this happens more in hockey.

Furthermore, people are calling for a president who will be a good representation abroad, who will walk among “us, normal people”, who can manage crises, who can stand up for those who have no support, who is uninfluenced, who will look after the government and its management and who will be the people help. “I promise you,” the candidate says to the camera. After which, in the final collage, the performers agree on “that’s why Babiš”.

Pavlo’s clip is dominated by a candidate illuminated on a dark background, with the message: “To be clear, this election is a battle between two worlds. In ours, courage, honor, and dignity are valued.” During his speech, people of different tastes, ages, and appearances come to him.

“And then there is the other world, full of lies, fear and chaos, in which it is only about self-interest,” states the candidate. People listen with interest, some nod, some start to smile. “We all know which world we want. We want to live in order and dignity. Please come to the polls,” invites Pavel at the end with his eyes fixed on the heights of the camera. All topped off with a lion logo strikingly resembling the protagonist.
