Spotlight: Sudan’s normalization with Israel for positive impact: Sudanese analysts.

KHARTOUM, October 25 (Xinhua). The normalization of Sudan’s relations with Israel in Sudan will benefit Sudan in several areas, including economics and politics, if the country faces difficulties, Sudanese analysts said on Sunday.

Sudan would generate several gains from normalizing its relations with Israel, particularly in terms of agricultural, trade and immigration cooperation, Salah Al-Doma, director of the Institute for Strategic Studies and International Relations in Khartoum, told Xinhua.

“The main benefit is that normalization with Israel was key to removing Sudan from the list of states promoting terrorism,” which will help Sudan reintegrate into international relations that are troubled by End related to banking and also benefit from loans and grants as an investment flow, he added.

“Sudan needs to release or plan for its accumulated debt. He must also open the way for the normal operation of his banks and for loans and financing from international institutions, ”said Khalid Dirar, professor of political science at al-Rasid Center for Strategic Studies in Khartoum.

“None of this would have been possible if Sudan had stayed on the list of states promoting terrorism,” he noted.

However, Abdul-Khaliq Mahjoub, professor of political science at the Institute of Political Science in Khartoum, believed that normalizing relations with Israel will add a new complexity to the Sudanese political scene that is already complicated.

“The problem of normalization has split the alliance of the forces of freedom and change, the political umbrella of the transitional government,” Mahjoub told Xinhua.

“There are major political forces that have threatened to withdraw from the alliance, while others have vowed to oppose normalization by peaceful means,” said the expert.

“I am concerned that there will be a difference within the political umbrella that threatens to blow up the transitional government and drag the country into a dark tunnel,” Mahjoub added.

On October 23, Sudan and Israel agreed in a joint declaration by the USA, Israel and Sudan to normalize relations.

For years, Sudan has been at the forefront of the countries opposing normalization with Israel.

However, a sudden meeting on February 3 between the chairman of the Sudanese Transitional Military Council Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Entebbe, Uganda marked a turning point in relations between the two countries.

The US government has asked the Sudanese interim government to normalize relations with Israel.

On October 23, US President Donald Trump signed an order to remove Sudan from the list of states that promote terrorism. End item.
