Enlarged premises… for an overflowing ambition. On the third floor of the imposing building at 55, avenue du 4 Septembre, Yann Camilleri is proud to present the new extension of his video game training school, “PuR eSport”.
“Faced with the existing premises, we have fitted out a meeting room streaman office and a room reserved for driving simulators, for automotive master classes and preparation for the 2024 Olympic Games. In total, we gain 120 m²”rejoices the Dracénois.
A “new start”, in a way, for this associative structure, born in the spirit of Yann Camilleri ten years ago.
“Gaming is the future of tomorrow”
Passionate about the world of e-sport since always, former director of a video game store and ex-professional player, the young man always reinforces the means he implements to achieve his main objective: to break stereotypes around gaming and discover this universe from a different angle.
“For many, the video game still refers to the image of young people slumped on their sofa, spending their day in front of the console. To through “PuR eSport”, I want to show that, on the contrary, virtual sport is supervised, professionalized and professionalized.” Moreover, Yann Camilleri does not speak of addiction, but of « passion”.
An increasingly shared passion, which is turning into an exponential trend…

“Arouse vocations”
A reality that this young enthusiast highlights daily, especially during the internship sessions that he has just set up within the school, with his team of volunteers.
“It’s the little novelty of 2022smiles Yann. Since April, we have been offering courses for all ages during school holidays.”
In the program? “Initiation, progression and, of course, the discovery of professions related to e-sport”details the young man, before adding: “We have chosen a reasonable and accessible rate, set at 70 euros per week. The idea is not to make margins. This is not the essence of our association, it does not correspond to our objective”, which, beyond lifting the veil on a universe that is sometimes misjudged because misunderstood, also focuses on values such as “cresponsiveness, confidence and self-transcendence to, in the long term, arouse vocations”.

E-sport will make its show in October
The second event of its kind organized by the Dracénoise school, it will take place on October 14, 15 and 16 at the Maison des sports et de la jeunesse, as well as at the Esplanade theatre. The meeting will be punctuated by tournaments, as well as activities and workshops. Quite many guests should make the trip for this festival which will shine well beyond the Dracian borders.
