And music in Spanish makes history in 2021, as Bad Bunny has become, for the second year in a row, the most listened to artist in the world as Spotify discovers us. A new world record for the artist from Puerto Rico, and one more proof that music in our language continues to conquer the ears of listeners across the globe every year. In fact, the artist himself has already reacted to this new record achieved, expressing his gratitude and his greatest wish: to continue dedicating his life to music.

Worldwide, there is no doubt that Bad Bunny is the favorite of the users of the application, since it has already accumulated more than 9,100 million listeners this year. In second position is singer-songwriter Taylor Swift; third, for the first time in the ranking, the South Korean group BTS; in fourth place, rapper Drake, and in fifth place, Justin Bieber.

If we talk about the ‘top 5’ of the most listened to female artists in the world, in addition to Taylor Swift, we find Ariana Grande, Olivia Rodrigo, Dua Lipa and Doja Cat in the ranking.
