The Angels. In the debate about false corona information in his Spotify podcast, US moderator Joe Rogan has now spoken out himself. In a video that lasted almost 10 minutes, the 54-year-old said, referring to his critics Neil Young and Joni Mitchell: “I’m very sorry that you feel this way, it’s definitely not what I want. I’m a huge Neil Young fan.” Of his own show, he said, “I plan everything myself and I don’t always get it right.”
Spotify wants to add a Corona note to posts
In addition, the moderator agreed that the streaming service would like to add a note to posts about Covid-19 in the future. Spotify founder and CEO Daniel Ek announced the move in a blog post on Sunday.
Neil Young (76/”Heart of Gold”) and Joni Mitchell (78/”Big Yellow Taxi”), among others, had previously announced that they would withdraw their music from Spotify. In doing so, they protested against Rogan’s Corona podcast, which numerous scientists criticized as trivializing. Rogan’s video statement was viewed more than two million times shortly after it was posted on Instagram.
