It’s me or Joe Rogan, the artist told Spotify. Now the music service is in the process of removing his music.
After Neil Young issued an ultimatum that either Joe Rogan’s podcast or his music must be removed from Spotify, it has all ended with it being Young’s music that will now be deleted from the music giant’s services.
The reason? Young mener Rogan’s podcast has helped spread misinformation about vaccines and thus also created vaccine skepticism.
The ultimatum was first announced through an open letter to Spotify, which was published on his website. Here, the Canadian-American musician wrote straight out that the music service could not house both his and Rogan’s products at one and the same time.
– It’s him or me. Not both, it says in patent, which was later removed again from the website.
He also claimed that Spotify is helping to facilitate the dissemination of misinformation that could potentially lead to people losing their lives.
– I ask that this be implemented today. Keep me updated on developments, Young wrote about his claim.
