Spotify now also informs about virtual shows from artists – News

Music service Spotify has expanded its concert agendas with information about the virtual shows and events that are on the calendar for more and more artists.

Fans can consult the new information in the section Concerts by artist profiles as well as via the agenda on the general concert page of Spotify. Both lists are shows for all platforms, ranging from Twitch and Instagram Live over YouTube Live to your own website.

Spotify has teamed up with Songkick and Ticketmaster for the new feature. Virtual events that are on Songkick (a popular service for discovering concerts) will now also be automatically displayed in Spotify. The same goes for a selection of Ticketmaster events.

Artists can also add their virtual shows to Spotify themselves or set them as so-called Artist Pick, a tool to highlight a song, album, playlist or event.
