Spotify has started rolling out two new filters to make it easier to find and listen to your favorite songs. Available for Free and Premium subscribers, the Genre and Mood filters will offer up to 15 custom options for sorting your “Liked Songs” to get the vibe you are looking for.
Spotify announced the new Genre and Mood filters in a blog post today.
Your “Loved Songs” on Spotify are a collection of you – spanning every genre you’ve ever enjoyed and every mood you’ve experienced. Some days you might be looking to play the whole eclectic mix, while other days you are looking for a certain feel.
Starting today, Spotify is rolling out a new way for our listeners to easily sort their collection of “Loved Songs” for every mood and moment with new Genre and Mood filters. With this new feature, listeners with 30 or more tracks in their collections will be able to filter their favorite songs by up to 15 custom mood and genre categories.
Spotify reports that the new filters for “Loved Songs” are rolling out starting today and will reach all users “within the next few weeks” on iOS and Android in “US, Canada, UK. United, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. “
Here’s how to check if they’re available to you (via Spotify):
Navigate to “Your Library” and tap “Liked Songs”. Then tap any of the filters at the top of the playlist header to view all the tracks that fall into that mood or genre. When you’re ready to switch to another mood or genre, just tap the “X” next to the genre or mood to turn the filter off and return to your full collection of “Liked Songs”.
