Spotify has a new function introduced for both paying and non-paying users. This one will help you get more out of your library. In this case, it is especially about the songs that you have liked over the years. Those are the numbers you gave a heart to, in the desktop app or the app on you smartphone.
Of course, liking songs on Spotify works fine. But when you want to listen to a specific song or genre within that long list of liked songs, that is quite difficult. The company is finally changing that for a large group of users.
Genre of stemming
Users in the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada will have access to a new sorting function. The songs in the liked songs list can now be sorted by genre or mood. So you should always be able to find what you feel like at that moment.
For example, if you feel like happy music (because to be honest: we can all use that well now), you indicate that you are in a happy mood. In between you don’t hear the slow or sad songs that you have liked over the years. And otherwise you lean on the well-known genres within the service.
Library on Spotify
It is not yet known when the functionality will come to the Netherlands. But when the time comes, you’ll find the new option in the library within the music streaming service. There is the header with liked numbers (Songs you like) and at the top are the different options.
Spotify not only comes with a new feature, but also with new content. The music streaming service has managed to get none other than Bruce Springsteen and Barack Obama. What the gentlemen are gonna do together you read here.
