Spotify was preparing for it, it’s now done. The Swedish company increased the price of its Family subscription on Monday 1is February. The latter has already gone from € 14.99 to € 15.99 per month, reports Lemon Press.
This price increase is however less important than one could imagine. The world leader in music streaming had recently offered a survey to its users in order to revalue the price of its formulas. The family subscription, which allows access to audio content via six different accounts, was then offered at € 20.99 per month.

Upmarket
In the end, you will only have to spend an additional euro to benefit from this formula. People who have already subscribed to it will benefit from the previous tariff for two more months and will not be affected by this increase until April.
The standard subscription, which Spotify was planning to increase by one euro to € 10.99 per month, is currently unchanged.
The company justified this new price list by explaining that it could thus “Continue to innovate and invest”.
The streaming giant wants “Improve [ses] services, in particular by expanding [son] catalog and adding features ». Spotify is currently investing in the podcast sector and is increasing its exclusive partnerships, like the contract signed with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
