A new year brings new Spotify hits. This year we will again be introducing you week after week songs from all corners of the world that actually deserve a lot more attention – and should definitely be on your playlist. This week with: Tomas Skyldeberg, Tom East & Solon!
Finally new Spotify hits!
You are slowly getting bored of the Spotify playlist, the Top50 are full of annoying continuous doodle tracks and you need a bit of a change from the everyday stuff? We have the solution for you here. In our new section “Hits that nobody knows”, we regularly introduce you to 3 new songs from all over the world that have slipped through the Spotify algorithm.
The requirements to get on the list:
1. The song cannot have over 100,000 plays on Spotify or the artist cannot have over 300,000 monthly listeners
2. It is not a DJ Mag Top100 Act
3. The song was not in the New Music Friday or the Spotify German Top50 list
The Hidden Gems of the Week:
1. Tomas Skyldeberg – Let’s Do It
This week we start with the Swedish producer & singer Tom Skyldeberg. Lets Do it is a refreshing upbeat feel-good dance-pop single with a catchy tune guarantee. The catchy vocals underline the slightly commercial and yet unique character of the number in an excellent way.
2. Solon – Missing (feat. Chacel)
The next song will be a bit clubier. The cover of the No Mercy hit from 1996 “Missing” brings the popular 90s theme in a whole new, driving guise. No slap house, just a lot of feeling. In a mixture between progressive and house sounds, the soft poppy vocal comes into its own as a slight contrast to the beat.
3. Tom East – Can’t Let You Go
The end of our little series is the Israeli producer Tom East with his single “Can’t Let You Go”. The song combines Progressive House & Tropical House / Pop sounds and an incredibly clear, catchy vocal into an easy-listening product. An excellent number if you just want to switch off from all the Corona stuff.
Did you like what you hear? Then we have more of them ready for you.
