Spotify which was down this week has partnered with Musixmatch which provides the lyrics of the songs. The two companies have worked together in the past to bring lyrics to users in Southeast Asia, India and Latin America. All platforms are supported by the new feature: iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, etc.
Spotify also clarified that the lyrics will be displayed on televisions with its PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Samsung, LG, Sky, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Roku and Comcast app. The new functionality also allows users to share the lyrics they want on networks or other platforms.
How to display lyrics on Spotify?
If you are on a smartphone, all you need to do is swipe up from the bottom of the screen when the song is displayed in full screen. You will then see the lyrics scroll. On PC, click the new microphone icon to the right of the play bar at the bottom of the app. If you’re listening to Spotify on TV, open the song that’s playing and select the lyrics button on the right.
