On Thursday, Spotify revealed who would win the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) this year – if it were to the taste of the users of the streaming platform. As it now turns out, Spotify was right about that.
Italy won the ESC 2021 by a large margin. On Spotify, this was the most frequently streamed song of all the songs that took part in the Song Contest, including the semi-final numbers that did not make it to the final.

Also in the public voting of the other nations there were consistently 0 points for Germany. The end result: penultimate place with a total of 3 points. Only England was worse with a final score of 0 points.
