Spotify now makes it possible to download playlists, albums and podcasts on Apple Watch to play them offline. Users will be able to stream audio at up to 96kbps as well as add and delete Spotify content on their mobile and sync with the smartwatch.
“Having the ability to download music and podcasts complements the existing feature of being able to stream your favorites to your watch, and now you do not even have to take your mobile with you,” Spotify wrote in a press release.
The new offline listening is out now for the Apple Watch Series 3 or later. To be able to use the function, a Spotify Premium subscription and Watch OS 6.0 or later are required. However, Spotify recommends that you run Watch OS 7.1 or later.
