BEIJING, October 30, 2023 (Xinhua) – Standard prices for spot gold transactions between banks in China recorded higher levels on Monday, according to the Chinese Foreign Exchange Trading System.
The benchmark price of 99.95 percent pure gold or higher reached 475.44 yuan (about 66.23 US dollars) per gram, up 1.88 yuan from the previous trading day, while the price of 99.99 percent pure gold or higher increased by 1.63 yuan to 475.8 yuan per gram.
Spot transaction prices in the interbank price inquiry market are allowed to rise or fall within 15 percent of the benchmark prices on each trading day.
Interbank gold price inquiries were introduced in 2012 to enhance market liquidity and enrich trading patterns. /end of news/
