Briton James Teagle was about to win a bronze medal at the Santander Triathlon in Spain. But a few meters before the finish he makes a mistake and runs into a crowd barrier.
Caught up
He is overtaken by his rival, 21-year-old Spaniard Diego Méntrida. But after a few steps, Méntrida sees that the British Teagle has made a mistake and decides to wait for him.

‘Normal’
As a result, Teagle still wins the bronze medal. “He deserved it,” Méntrida said later. The competition took place last week, but images were suddenly shared en masse on social media yesterday.
The Spaniard gets nothing but praise for his ‘incredibly sporty’ action. On Instagram he writes that for him it is the most normal thing in the world: “I learned this from childhood from my parents and sports club.”
