Sporty bodies, water splashes: people enjoy wakeboarding in Liepaja – Parties

“BB Summer Jam” has been taking place every season in Liepaja since 2014, and it is enjoyed not only by fans of this sport, but also by other lovers of active recreation and the audience, who simply want to enjoy a great summer atmosphere.

This year, the event was made even more impressive by the parallel skateboard competition in the mini ramp or “ELEMENT Skateboard Jam Session”, as well as the Boards.lv surf cup, which took place the next day on the beach of Karosta North Pier.

Throughout the day, the audience was currently delighted by one of the leading Latvians with summer dance rhythms funky breaks a funk for DJs DJ All-Everything. At the end of the day, charismatic jazz singer Katrīna Kabiņecka with accompanying group, legendary Baldone avant-garde punk rock band “Tumors”, local hip-hop artist Packman, as well as electronic dance music DJ Nina Elektrichka performed on the open-air stage.

Wakeboard participants showed their ability in several groups, as well as in the “Best Trick” discipline, where the most reckless tricks are demonstrated, which are not usually included in the usual start races. In both the “Best Trick” category and the “Open” group, the best of the men was Dāvis Čeže. In the “Open” group, Anita Leina convincingly proved herself to be the best for women.

Also in the Boards.lv surf cup riders started in several categories – there were both children ‘s groups and longboard a shortboard disciplines. First place shortboard Lithuanian Jokūbs Vaitkevičius won the men’s group, leaving Mārtiņš Sleja from Riga, but shortboard Santa Squirrel was by far the first woman in the group.

“ELEMENT Skateboard Jam Session” Riga drivers Arvils Helmanis and Maksims Feofilovs stood out with their excellent performance. There were also BMX demonstrations performed by “Liepājas Rave Team”.
