The six escapees have just been caught
The peloton is now split into three after a crash involving riders from the Cofidis, AG2R Citroën-Team, Nice Métropole Côte d’Azur and Movistar teams. About thirty runners form a first group, including Filippo Ganna (INEOS Grenadiers) and Julian Alaphilippe (Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl).
Ethan Hayter (INEOS Grenadiers), the second in the general classification, is in the third group.
