The “Stars of Sports” in silver 2023 for Rhineland-Palatinate will be awarded today at the State Chancellery in Mainz. The winners are a total of six sports clubs from Rhineland-Palatinate. These include the workers’, roller and sports club “Solidarität” 1898 from Mainz and the gymnastics community 1866 Budenheim eV. The clubs are recognized by the state government, the Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken and the state sports association. Year after year, the “Stars of Sports” competition honors voluntary work in sports clubs at local, state and federal levels. Projects and initiatives by sports clubs that contribute to the common good are honored.
