Update on the results obtained this weekend by the DFCO teams, as well as the situation of the JDA Dijon in Betclic Elite.
Football
DFCO – Nancy : 2-3
With the season carried out in Ligue 2 BKT by the DFCO, the party planned for the last home game of this 2021-2022 financial year could not be total anyway. This even if “the der” of Frédéric Sammaritano at the Gaston Gérard stadium added interest to the meeting, the midfielder having announced this week the end of his career.
The return to play of the midfielder in the 61st minute of play is in a way the only highlight to remember from this Saturday evening. Because in the end, despite Senou Coulibaly opening the score in the 5th minute of play, the DFCO did not obtain any points at the final whistle.
Between Dijon’s first goal and the second scored by Bruno Ecuele Manga (78th), the Nancy team, despite being the bottom of the championship and already relegated, scored three: a double from Yeni Ngbakoto (53rd, 76th) and an achievement of Antonin Bobichon (62nd).
At the end of the 37th day of Ligue 2 BKT, the DFCO is in 11th place and can now aim better than 9th place. Last game on the lawn of FC Sochaux-Montbéliard Saturday, May 14.
Guingamp – DFCO Women: 4-0
Only two games from the end of the season, the Dijon footballers cannot breathe yet. The fault of their particularly difficult end of the championship which means that they do not yet have the assurance of being maintained in D1 Arkema next season.
At Guimgamp on Saturday May 7, 2022, the bill was steep. The DFCO Féminin conceded four goals after half-time and conceded their 6th defeat in the last seven league games. Let’s console ourselves by saying that it was better to sink at Guingamp this weekend, rather than at Saint-Etienne on April 23.
In their negative spiral, the Dijonnaises can still remember that it is not progressing further behind them. This Saturday, Issy, Soyaux and Saint-Etienne lost.
With four points ahead of the first relegation team, Soyaux, the DFCO Women could be maintained at the end of the next day. Reception at the Stade de Reims on May 28.
Basketball
The JDA Dijon in the playoffs
With its victories against Limoges (100-84 on April 29) then Nanterre (79-88 on May 3), the JDA Dijon has clearly reassured about a potential place in the playoffs following the regular season. Since this weekend, it is certain, the Jeanne will play the final stages of Betclic Elite. A qualification obtained without playing.
It is the defeat of Le Mans against Monaco this Saturday, May 7 which ensures the Dijon team to finish in the top 8 of the championship, whatever happens during the last two days.
That said, there is no doubt that the Dijon basketball players have the objective of fighting for 5th place. This Tuesday, May 10, they will receive Gravelines-Dunkerque at the Palais des Sports in Dijon. In-between at 8:30 p.m.
