In the first ten days, the sports minister promised up to 1,000 spectators to three main dishes from Roland Garros. Jean-Michel Blanquer added that the smaller rooms would take up 35% of their capacity.

That’s not all, as the clay court season finale has bigger plans for important games. When the French Open reach the quarter-finals, the number of spectators allowed will increase dramatically.

Ace for BlanquerThe dishes by Philippe Chatrier and Suzanne Lenglen will see 65% of the audience of its capacity. However, they have an upper limit of 5,000 people.

Conversely, other smaller courts will not worry about the cap and will take 65% of their seat. This will indefinitely appear to be an overcrowded crowd following the safe distance protocol.

This gives players who are tired of playing in empty seats a much needed confidence boost. In addition, it offers a well-deserved farewell to this year’s clay swing.
