On December 16, the former Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), Ministry of Tourism and Sports Organized an honor ceremony for outstanding athletes on the National Sports Day 2022 at Indoor Stadium Huamark to commemorate the talents of His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Apart from announcing outstanding awards for athletes, another one of the highlighted awards is Sports Honor Award which was presented to Chutinan Bhirombhakdi, Former President of Thailand Paralympics As Dedicates to Development of Disabled Sports Industry in Thailand, Lt. Nayanop Bhirombhakdi, heir and president of the Sports Association for the Mentally Disabled in Thailand, received the award for his father.

Per Mr. Chutinan Bhirombhakdi is the former president of the Paralympic Committee of Thailand. He is behind the success of the disabled sports industry in Thailand. And he oversees disability sports in many competitions from the ASEAN level to the Paralympics. Cooperating with 5 Disability Sports Associations, namely Sports Association of Thailand, Sports Association for the Mentally Disabled of Thailand, Sports Association for the Blind Sports of Thailand, Sports Association for the Deaf of Thailand, and Sports Association for Disabilities intellectuals of Thailand He is also a person who laid the foundation for the development of disabled sports in Thailand. In addition to being completely dedicated to the care of athletes up to now, he has managed to bring Thai Para athletes creating results to the forefront of the world. He including pushing the government to care for athletes equally among regular athletes. and athletes with disabilities

Thailand’s disabled athlete army can continuously build a reputation for Thailand. and is the holder of several world records. Especially at the last Paralympic Games in Tokyo. Japan Thai athletes can win 5 gold medals, 5 silver medals, 8 bronze medals.

Mr. Chutinan Bhirombhakdi has been the Chairman of the Thailand Paralympic Sports Committee since 2009. Previously, he was the manager of the Thailand National Team of Disabled Athletes in 2005. He is the one behind the success of the industry.
