With the recent announcement by Carlos Guerrero, better known as El Warrior, for the leadership of TV Azteca’s Survivor México, it is shown that sports drivers can carry out other driving activities and not be limited to the sports field, although it must be said: this program , like Exatlón, it has a sports theme and it is easier for them to fit into this type of conduction of entertainment programs.
Many people think that this began with Antonio Rosique, who was a great discovery with Exatlón and of which many people who are not so immersed in the sports field got to know him more thoroughly, but it must be remembered that many years ago the Bermúdez Dog ventured into a program back in the nineties called Zambombazo Dominical, which talked about all topics and not just sports, in which the great charisma of the Dog helped a lot, who also presented a footballer from Cruz Azul and a musical group like Slang.
This program was well received in the difficult time and day that it had on Sunday, but it was a good experiment that was not repeated. Later, at the time of 2000, Televisa launched another trivia program called A las regaderas, with Antonio de Valdés, something similar to what Gerardo Liceaga had done several years before in a sports competition program.
Of course, we must also remember that José Ramón Fernández had a program shortly before leaving TV Azteca, which was called Joserra Presenta. It was an interesting program, but the production was not very good and, in addition, when it was recorded, many good things were lost that could have been taken out of the show if they had done it live.
At this time when sports conductors stopped being the journalists we knew before, taking these types of opportunities is complemented, since now they not only work for one medium but for several, in addition to the fact that social networks are another platform in the one that they can trade and, of course, sell the exposure they have for different brands.
Hopefully it will be another great Rosique-like discovery for Survivor driving, as the Warrior enjoys great popularity with the public and will now compete in a different facet for him.
