The Norwegian finished just 0.3 seconds behind the German leader, Vinzenz Geiger. The jumping part of the combined competition starts at 1.35pm.

Jens Lurås Oftebro is also in the race for victory after he finished fifth, 1.3 seconds behind the German.

Jørgen Graabak (9th place) and Andreas Skoglund (10th) also managed to get into the top ten and are well positioned for a good position.

Other Norwegian positions: 20) Espen Andersen, 26) Espen Bjørnstad, 39) Simen Tiller.

Riiber started the season in Finland on Friday. While the teammates competed at Beitostølen last weekend, the combined star saved himself.

The season opener in Ruka was dramatic almost from the start. On Thursday, his shoulder dislocated after a giant jump in the provisional jumping round in Finland.

Friday’s 2nd place was thus far from as disappointing as it would normally be for the 26-year-old.

Riiber also got his revenge on Saturday when he was superior in both the jumping hill and the cross-country track. It resulted in the 26-year-old’s first World Cup win of the season.
