The Supreme Court of Brazil will judge on Thursday an urgent appeal demanding the suspension of the organization of the Copa America in this country hit hard by the pandemic of the new coronavirus, we learned this Tuesday from a judicial source.

The President of the Supreme Court, Luiz Fux, has ruled that the 11 judges should rule urgently due to the character “exceptional“of the appeal, with the kick-off of this highly controversial tournament scheduled for Sunday.
