Saturday 26 October a morning of sport and fun at the Foro Italico Park with Green League, a European project which aims to improve the link between sport and the environment through experiential learning, promoting outdoor physical activity as a tool for raising environmental awareness and encouraging sustainable practices in sport.
Activity starts at 9am with yoga on the lawn by the sea, the Foro Italico Parkrun to run or walk along the Palermo waterfront and football walking for over 55s. We will continue with motor literacy activities for infants, football, basketball, volleyball , table tennis, taekwondo, calisthenics and arm wrestling. Nordic walking instructors were also present. Free trials and performances with athletes. At 12.00 the award ceremony with the delivery of gadgets, music with promising young musicians from Palermo and a green aperitif with Cotti in Fragranza.
“The park named after Livia Morello confirms itself as a place of beauty and inclusion – Daniele Giliberti, President of Vivi Sano, an association that redeveloped the park and has managed it since 2015 – a point of reference for citizens where promotional activities are constantly carried out of free health services that guarantee full accessibility to the population. A place of community where psychophysical well-being and environmental health are promoted in line with the objectives of Agenda 2030″.
