Sporting’s full-back will undergo surgery again

Diogo Travassos is going through the most complicated period in his career. After recovering from surgery on his right knee last year, the full-back injured the same knee again at a time when he was working under the orders of Rúben Amorim and, in the meantime, he already knows that will have to return to the operating table.
To try to cheer up their teammate, the players from team B made a point of honoring him by showing off their shirt when celebrating one of the goals in the victory over 1º December (2-0), a gesture that moved the defender. “With you by my side everything is easier. We are as big as our will”, shared Travassos on social media. This message was immediately supported by Gonçalo Inácio, Dário Essugo, Afonso Moreira, Mateus Fernandes and many other young people from the Academy who sent him messages of support.
