Sporting is getting ready to close the second reinforcement of this summer market very soon. After the hiring of Ricardo Esgaio, SAD Leonina will secure another full-back, this one for the left side: Ruben Vinagre, who arrives from Wolverhampton.
At this point, the agreement between the two clubs is practically closed and provides for the loan of Vinagre for a season, until June 30, 2022, leaving Sporting with a contract purchase clause of 10 million euros.
Ruben Vinagre will also sign for a year, but with the option of extending the contract for another four years, with a view to a long-term connection.
The full-back, currently 22, moves to Alvalade after having relaunched his career at Famalicão, a club in which he played 20 games in half a season. Before that, and before leaving on loan for Olympiakos, Vinegar had two years of relative success at Wolverhampton.
For the young man, it is actually a return to Alvalade, the club he has been through in training, before leaving at a young age for Monaco.
