“Sporting Coach Rúben Amorim Considered for Successor at Chelsea”

The Sporting coach has been touted as one of Graham Potter’s possible successors at the English club.

Rúben Amorim is still on Chelsea’s list to take the place recently vacated by Graham Potter at the English club. The Sporting coach has long been associated with the ‘blues’, however, this Friday’s English press advances that the leonine coach has already been contacted by the Londoners.

According to the newspaper ‘The Guardian’, Chelsea have held talks with Amorim, with a view to the possibility of the Portuguese coach heading to Stamfrod Bridge next season. In addition to Amorim, names such as the Spaniard Luís Enrique or the German Julian Nagelsmann also appear as possibilities to assume the position.

The ‘Guardian’ also states that Rúben Amorim is currently on an equal footing with the other two associated names, so at this time there is no clear favorite to lead Chelsea’s destinies next season.

The English newspaper concludes that it would be necessary to convince Amorim that heading to the ‘blues’ would be the best step to take in his career, also recalling the 30 million termination clause present in Rúben Amorim’s contract with Sporting.

In addition to the three names mentioned above, coaches such as Mauricio Pochettino, Oliver Glasner and Xabi Alonso will also be on Chelsea’s list to occupy a position that, at the moment, is held by Frank Lampard.
