For group H, Sporting achieved an impressive victory against the Polish side Chrobry Glogów, 37-20, at Pavilhão João Rocha. In the other game in the group, the Romanians from CSM Constanta beat the Hungarians from Tatabánya (24-29) away.
Sporting is leader of group H, with two points, the same as Constanta.
In group D, ABC triumphed against the Slovaks of Povazska Bystrica, 34-26. In the other game in the group, Croatian side RK Nexe beat Danish side Skjern 39-25. ABC and RK Nexe remain in the top two places, with two points each.
In group A, Benfica lost in a demanding trip to French side HBC Nantes, where Portuguese international Alexandre Cavalcanti plays, by 37-28. In the other game in the group, Rhein-Neckar Lowen, from Germany, beat Sweden’s IFK Kristianstad, 26-20. The French and Germans remain at the top, with two points each.
