More than 100 participants are expected at the 33rd Volkssporttriathlon in Koserow.
The fifth Coastel Rowing Regatta begins on Saturday at the Stralsund lido (Vorpommern-Rügen district). The beach sprint competitions start at 9 a.m. The teams have to sprint about 50 meters from land to their boats and then start on the course in the water. After 500 meters on the Strelasund comes the turning point. Back on land, they have to sprint again. Whoever presses the buzzer first wins the race. The long distances follow on Sunday with start and finish at the jetty. And in Koserow, over 100 participants are expected at the 33rd Volkssport Triathlon on Saturday. It starts at 5 p.m. on the pier. Greifswalder FC (GFC) will play away against FSV Zwickau on Saturday from 7 p.m. It is the second game in the Regionalliga Nordost. A good omen – because the GFC has always won the second game of the season so far. After the 0-1 defeat against Hertha BSC U23, the team led by coach Lars Fuchs wants to get the first three points.
