Sport Huancayo thrashed Melgar de Arequipa 3-0 at home this Saturday in matchday 3 of League 1, and reached the top of the competition.
Anthony Rosell opened the scoring, Ronal Huacca made it 2-0 and Marco Huaman closed the scoring in the 87th minute, giving Huancayo their third victory in their last three league games.
Melgar began dominating the game, but with the passing of the minutes it was going less. For its part, the local team improved in the circulation of the ball until they took control of the match and found the goals.
With this victory, the team from Huancayo consolidates itself at the top of the standings with nine points.
Melgar reacted in the second half, but were unable to come back from the match and were left with four units.
