ULRICHSBERG. Sport and computer science are the focal points of the education at the middle school in Ulrichsberg. There will be an open house afternoon on January 17th.
In addition to the daily sports lessons, the pupils in the sports specialization classes take part in a wide range of competitions, which do not always have to be in the school context. The Ulrichsberg middle school was very successful in 2022, for example at the quarter marathon in Linz, where the students took third place in the overall “School runs” ranking. In the seven sports and weekly swimming lessons, coordination and endurance are trained in a wide variety of ways.
digital school
In the regular classes in Ulrichsberg, emphasis has been placed on basic digital education for years. During several hours a week, the students gain insight into the digital world, learn netiquette, train basic skills in using their own PC and manage their own accounts or e-mail addresses.
The Bitbot robot makes programming fun and creative. But the PC is also used in regular classes. Constructions, for example in the subject of geometric drawing, are then realized with the school’s own 3D printer.
