Indeed, thanks to the close relationships that the center maintains with artists who exhibited at the start of their career, who have since become “big names”, it was able to afford the luxury of inviting Lawrence Weinera major figure in conceptual art, for the 40th anniversary of the IAC in 2018.
Then Daniel Buren in 2019, Tony Cragg in 2022, and Bernard Venet in 2023. This year, it’s the artist’s turn Yan Pei-Ming to join them for this new dinner.

Developed from invitations made to various directors of international museum institutions, this selection differentiates itself by very varied universes even if they all show a palpable concern in their works.
The introduction is devilishly colored by the psychedelic installation of Shivay La Multiple“meta-being”, which presents In search of the woody fruita work and a long-term project along the rivers. An artist to certainly follow, as his universe, where history and geography, pearls and calabashes, culture 2.0 and ancient traditions collide, is astonishing and rich.
The rest is just as abundant, from the room to the mattresses printed with testimonies from the artist’s hotel workers. Hilary Galdbreaith which delivers a reflection on hospitality to that of the duo Jeanetta Petch & Szymon Kula and its disturbing strangeness through the monumental and equally distressing sculpture of Meri Karapetyan.
