Sponsor of Laken Riley bill slams Bill Clinton’s claims about Georgia student’s death. – Instant Briefing – Six Degrees of World

First on Fox: Alabama Sen. Katie Britt, who co-introduced the Laken-Riley Act in the Senate with North Carolina Sen. Ted Budd, said she Criticized former President Bill Clinton for failing to acknowledge “this was a conscious choice made by the Biden-Harris administration” when talking about the border crisis.

During a campaign trip to Georgia for Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Clinton mentioned the death of Laken Riley, a Georgia Augusta University nursing student found dead on college campus.

The suspect charged with Riley’s murder, Jose Ibarra, a 26-year-old illegal immigrant, has pleaded not guilty.

Senate Democrats launch new ad targeting Black voters, Harris’ support falls short.

Clinton said on the campaign trail: “[哈里斯]is the only candidate who actually supports a bill that would limit the number of immigrants each year and make sure we provide a decent place for people to live and not separate people from their children. We do a thorough vetting process before people come into the country. Now, Trump has killed the bill. “

“You had a case in Georgia not too long ago, right? They did an ad about it. A young woman was killed by an immigrant. Yeah, if they had all been properly vetted, this probably wouldn’t have happened.”

In an exclusive statement to Fox News Digital, Britt said: “Had the Biden-Harris administration had stronger border security and internal immigration enforcement policies, Laken Riley would be alive today. Joe Biden “And Kamala Harris knowingly, recklessly and unlawfully allowed lax vetting of individuals, including Laken Riley’s accused murderer, to bring disaster to American families across the country.”

“What President Clinton refuses to acknowledge is that this was a conscious choice made by the Biden-Harris administration,” she continued. “No one is forcing them to release hundreds of thousands of laxly vetted individuals into our nation’s communities if they choose, and their dangerous, unprecedented abuse of immigration parole can end today.”

‘I’m much better off’: These voters support Trump in key battleground counties.

Britt also blasted the administration’s broad executive actions, which she said have “weakened border security and immigration enforcement.”

“They have suspended deportations, halted border wall construction, and announced a plan to grant amnesty to millions. It has been clear from the beginning of their administration that their goal is mass immigration, not protecting the American people safety.”

The Alabama senator criticized her Democratic colleagues in the Senate for blocking “the common-sense, bipartisan Laken-Riley bill and instead defending the Biden-Harris massive immigration agenda – which That agenda relentlessly led to the murders of Laken Reilly, Jocelyn Nongare, Rachel Morin and countless others.”

“I will continue working to pass this important legislation and bring President Trump back to the White House so that he can restore the strong border policies that were in effect during his tenure.”

Kamala Harris was accused of plagiarism in her 2009 book about “Smart Fighting Crime.”

Britt and Bard’s proposal would require arrests of illegal immigrants for crimes such as theft, burglary, theft or shoplifting and would require that those illegal immigrants be detained before deportations can be coordinated.

The bill would also give states the right to bring civil lawsuits against federal officials who fail to enforce immigration laws or violate them.

The proposal is co-sponsored by nearly all Senate Republican conference members and one Democrat, Montana Sen. Jon Tester, who initially opposed including a revised version of the bill. Several appropriations bills later, it was added in the summer.
