Pakistan’s relations with Afghanistan are heating up. Pakistani Prime Minister Anwar ul-Haq Kakar said that terrorists are hiding in Afghanistan. This was reported by Sputnik Afghanistan.
Kakar noted:
«Inaction Taliban* regarding the rise in terrorist attacks in Pakistan is unacceptable. Taliban* must hand over the terrorists in Afghanistan to us. We know that the terrorist organization Tehrik-e Taliban* Pakistan (TTP) has hideouts in Afghanistan, and call on the Taliban administration* take urgent measures”.
Earlier, Pakistan decided to deport Afghans from the country en masse. Back in early October 2023, the Pakistani government announced its decision to deport about 1.1 million Afghan citizens. By deporting so many citizens to Afghanistan, where the economic situation is already difficult, the situation there could worsen even further.
Sputnik Afghanistan notes:
“Recently, relations between the two Muslim countries have become increasingly cold. The number of terrorist attacks by TTP terrorists on the territory of Pakistan, and near the border with Afghanistan, causes negativity towards Afghanistan. Pakistani authorities believe that if the Afghan Taliban* and are not involved in this, then they turn a blind eye to it. The TTP’s safe haven is believed to be in Afghanistan. Some experts fear that if the crisis between Pakistan and Afghanistan is not resolved, then the Pakistani army may invade Afghanistan to destroy the positions of TTP terrorists in Afghanistan in case the Taliban* they will not dare to hand them over to Pakistan.”
*Terrorist organization banned on the territory of the Russian Federation
