Splinter Chabot will make a new radio program on Saturday evening together with Roos Moggré. The AVROTROS duo can be heard on the show on Saturday evening Cheers!.
The program should provide an evening full of ‘conviviality and inspiration’ and provide comfort and entertainment. “With our program we want to give people at home the feeling that they are having a night out. With good music, nice conversations and good food and drinks,” says Moggré.
Eurovision connoisseur Cornald Maas and writer Ronald Giphart become regular guests in the program. Giphart shares poetry and Maas plays songs from Europe. The duo also receives various guests ‘at an appropriate distance’ every week.
In the first episode, which can be heard on Saturday 4 April, Marlijn Weerdenburg and Pierre Wind are guests. Cheers! can be heard on NPO Radio 1 every Saturday evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
