TANGERANG, KOMPAS.com – Residents of Villa Housing Tangerang Elok, Kelurahan Kuta Jaya, Pasar Kemis District, Tangerang Regency was shocked by the vandalism that was carried out by an unknown person at Mushala Darussalam, Tuesday (29/9/2020) afternoon.
The vandalism at Mushala Darussalam in the form of walls and floors was scribbled with spray paint until the Koran was torn off.
The video of the appearance of the Mushala Darussalam condition that had been scribbled was widespread and viral on social media.

In a video clip seen by Kompas.com, it begins with a video showing the condition of the mosque with graffiti on the walls and floor.
A person’s voice behind the video says if the incident was first discovered near the time of Asr prayer.
“At the beginning, Wawan, Wawan entered here already scribbled. This is the reason, I don’t know the motive, so I want Asr (prayer), and Wawan doesn’t want to call to prayer because of this condition,” said a voice in behind the video.

The video also shows a green mosque wall scribbled with writing. Scribbles were also on the blackboard and floor and prayer mats.
In another section there are two Koran. One Koran appeared to be torn apart and the other one was crossed out with a cross.
“It starts at what time, 12 o’clock has not been like this,” said the voice behind the video.

One person suspected of being the perpetrator was arrested
Tangerang Police Chief Kombes Pol Ade Ari Syam Indardi confirmed the vandalism at Mushala Darussalam. He said the incident occurred at around 15.30 WIB, Tuesday.
From the results of the TKP and examination of a number of witnesses, he said, currently one perpetrator has been secured.
“The perpetrator has been arrested, attack will be carried out further investigation,” said Ade, confirmed by Kompas.com.
Meanwhile, the current condition of Musala Darussalam, said Ade, had been cleaned and had been used for prayer as before.
