Before being the distillery we know today, Habitation La Favorite produced cane sugar.
It was when the distillery was bought by Henri Dormoy that it was modernized and transformed into a distillery. It was then equipped with a steam engine, still in service today.
It is the only distillery in Martinique that still operates completely on steam.
