Spirit: Offensive into Charleston from Florida, New York and Philadelphia

Spirit has launched a route offensive to the US East Coast, connecting with Charleston to Fort Lauderdale, Newark, serving New York, and Philadelphia, beginning in April 2023, and reducing fares to US$39 per l purchase 14 days in advance.

“The Northeast and Florida have always been the primary home areas for visitors to Charleston. The additional day options for the Philadelphia, Fort Lauderdale and New York area increase the competitiveness and economic impact of our travel industry,” said Helen Hill, CEO of Explore Charleston and President of the Aviation Authority.

“Spirit’s affordable fares and convenient direct flights allow customers to travel more frequently,” said John Kirby, Spirit’s vice president of network planning.

Flights between Charleston, Newark and Fort Lauderdale will have an introductory fare starting at $49 one-way only for travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Fares between Charleston and Philadelphia will start at $39 one way.

In total, the airline plans to deliver 33 new A320 Family aircraft throughout 2023. “Our cabin upgrade in 2019 has been a significant improvement to the guest experience and these new seats are another big step. forward to increase the value for our guests.
