Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man games have previously been exclusive to Playstation 4 and 5, but as a result of Sony’s PC venture, the titles will now be released for PCs. During Playstation’s latest State of Play broadcast, the new versions optimized for computers were unveiled.
Behind the levers for the PC version are Dutch Nixxes, which was acquired by Sony in the summer of 2021 and is now part of Playstation Studios. Specifically what the PC versions will offer is currently unknown, but the developers will give us more details about the game closer to release. In a blog posts about the games, the developers write that the PC version comes with support for keyboard and mouse, more adjustable rendering settings and more advanced ray tracing.
The PC version of Spider-Man Remastered will be released on August 12 via Steam and the Epic Games Store. In addition to the basic game, the DLC package The City That Never Sleeps is also included, which gives players some challenges and an expanded story. Spider-Man: Miles Morales has no release date yet, but is expected to appear on PC later this fall.
