As if there is no pandemic: the new film Spider-Man: No way home enjoys the second-best start ever for a feature film at the worldwide box office. On Friday, the counter was already at 900 million dollars. The prognosis is that the magical milestone of one billion dollars will be reached without any problems on Sunday.

That would mean that Spider-Man: No way home needs only eleven days for this feat. In all cinema history, there is only one movie that does better: Avengers: Infinity war – from the same stable, Marvel – reached the $1 billion mark in just five days. Although our cinemas are closing again, they are open in most other countries. In our country, Kinepolis has, however, added extra screenings of the popular superhero film just before the closure.
Spider-Man: No way home with these scores also immediately surpass the Chinese films that were at the top of the list of best-grossing films of 2021. (tove)
