The actor Andrew Garfield, famous for his portrayal of Spider-Man, announced his support for the Palestinian people, who have been facing a brutal war and crimes committed by the Israeli occupation since last October.
In a “Happy Sad Confused” podcast interview with journalist Josh Horowitz, Garfield said: “We need to direct our hearts and our energy to those who live in the midst of this suffering, especially the people in Gaza is going through a deadly war.”
The actor, known for his role in the movie “The Amazing Spider-Man”, also expressed his deep sympathy for those affected by the conflict in Palestine, asking his fans to focus put on the plight of the Palestinian people.
When asked about what he needs in his personal life, he replied: “I am very happy and I don’t need anything to suffer, to be exposed to persecution, or to live in conditions that do not allow Reasonable life is the one that needs our energy now.”
His statements received warm applause from listeners during the recording of the podcast, and many praised them on social media, considering them to show courage in standing up for truth and seek justice.
Garfield, who is currently promoting his new film We Live in Time, continues to show his support for the Palestinian cause.
At the beginning of the war on Gaza last October, Garfield signed an open letter sent to US President Joe Biden asking for a ceasefire.
