Spider-Man gets important help in his next live-action adventure. One of Peter Parker’s mentor figures joins Spider-Man 3. Actor Benedict Cumberbatch one will soon play the leading roles in the film.
The Hollywood Reporter reports this today in a message about the film. Cumberbatch reprises the role of Doctor Strange in the movie, acting as a mentor figure to Spider-Man. It is necessary, because Tony Stark is dead and Nick Fury is in space. Peter Parker thus misses a heroic father figure, which he now gets in the form of Doctor Strange.
Interesting movie
This third Spider-Man solo movie is going to be quite interesting. This time we will see how Peter Parker is hunted after the revelations at the end of his previous film. In it, we saw Mysterio reveal Spider-Man’s secret identity at the last minute. And he framed the young superhero as a murderer.
So that promises something for this third solo project, which again stems from the collaboration of Marvel and Sony Pictures. The release of this as yet untitled Spider-Manmovie is scheduled for release in December 2021. Shooting will begin soon.
