Little has been shared about Spider-Man 2 since then the announcement of the game last September. Now, however, Insomniac Games and Sony have arrived at a launch window, which will be autumn 2023.
Here is the announcement trailer for Spider-Man 2.
The ad has come on the official PlayStation blog. The developer didn’t share any news about Peter Parker and Miles Morales’ latest adventure, but did include a quick message from game director Bryan Intihar.
– What a year it’s been for PlayStation Studios. Here at Insomniac Games, we have been very happy with the work of the other studios. Congratulations to all on a successful 2022 and we look forward to an equally exciting new year as we continue to prepare Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 for launch this fall.
We know from before that the sequel game is about Parker and Morales’ fight against the archenemy Venom. Spider-Man 2 should also be a darker affair than both Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which were compared to the Star Wars Empire Strikes Back movie.
– If the first Spider-Man game was like Star Wars, Spider-Man 2 is in a way our empire [Strikes Back]. It’s getting a little darker, Marvel Comics editor Bill Rosemann said last year.
Spider-Man 2 is currently only confirmed for PlayStation 5.
